Once you are franchised

With the completion of your franchise system and the granting of your first franchises you will face a different role in business. New issues will present relating to the process of recruiting franchisees, the further development of your group or some operational/policy matters.

At times the relationship between franchisor and franchisee can become difficult. Managing the resolution of these difficulties is the difference between a good franchisor and one who struggles.

Both parties are in business (independently and yet together), and this relationship must be respected for that reason alone. Rights and obligations are spelled out in the franchise agreement, however it is wise to manage any issues to resolution rather than simply rely on the clinical written words in the contract.

As your franchise matures you will identify issues that may require some amendment to the original operational methods. This, too, will require your best management skills to see the continuing evolution of the business passed on to all in the system, both effectively and without undue interruption to operations.
